This file contains one bound draft copy of Barbara's play Patterns, and some loose pages from drafts of the play. Patterns is a play that examines women's labour. It was commissioned by Changing Women’s Theatre, and performed in 1984 at the Drill Hall Theatre in London.
This file contains various copies of Barbara's Gennis, a piece of prose fiction about a young man named Taiyot and the journey he goes on following the death of his mother.

Some of Barbara's notes on a piece of non-fiction prose she was writing, explaining her motiviations for undertaking the writing project. In the notes she identifies that the final piece will be called either "Young British and Black", "Building Our Own Mirror" or "Part of Me is a Stranger". There are three copies of these notes.
