"Family Planning" was first published in 1952 as a four page leaflet. Printed by St Christopher Press Ltd in Hertfordshire and affiliated with the Family Planning Association, it was available for all their members for a small annual subscription.

Series contains newspaper clippings written about and by Jackie Forster, regarding her work in gay and lesbian activism and appearances at events and functions. From 1955 where she was an actress and known as Jacquline Mackenzie, to 1965 where she’s described as a “‘retread spinster’ (ie. divorced)” to her later years where she was well known as a gay rights activist. Includes media companies such as Gay News, LIP magazine, DIVA Magazine, Observer, The Times, The Pink Paper, High Life, The Independent, Daily Express, Daily Mirror, Capitol Gay.

Series contains published and unpublished writing including works, typed speeches, articles and written projects Manning wrote throughout her life that sometimes reflected her sexuality, feminism, coming out and lgbt rights.
This includes The Fox, The Garlands of Friendship, At the House of a Friend, The Habits of Secrecy, Alone in the House, The End of the Game, The Evening Class, Work in Progress, The Souvenir, The Keys of Heaven and over the plain. Several of the works appear in magazines.

The material relates to Marie Galbraith's education, including a certificate from school, a recommendation from her head teacher, and school badges.
