This file contains one bound draft copy of Barbara's play Patterns, and some loose pages from drafts of the play. Patterns is a play that examines women's labour. It was commissioned by Changing Women’s Theatre, and performed in 1984 at the Drill Hall Theatre in London.
This subseries contains one copy of the Way She Walks, a short story about two best friends, Penny and Jenny, who are in love with the same woman. While it is not signed by Barbara, it explores themes common in much of her work and the corrections are in a hand that resembles hers.
This subseries contains one copy of Barbara's A Widow Born, one of Barbara's unpublished works. The text is quite sizeable, however, there does seem to be pages of this copy missing.
This file contains various copies of Barbara's Gennis, a piece of prose fiction about a young man named Taiyot and the journey he goes on following the death of his mother.

This file contains draft copies of "The Threshing Floor" and "Miss Jessie".

This subseries contains one copy of Barbara's "Finders Keepers", a piece of prose fiction about Nikki and Tet, two individuals who find themselves on the uninhabbited island Sarsa. The copy gives no indication of whether it is a draft or a final. It includes a chapter summary for all ten chapters at the beginning.
This subseries contains six copies of "Martha", a short story just one page in length. The copies appear to be exactly the same and are possibly photocopies.
