Central Region Women’s Aid (CRWA) was established in 1975 and the group was responsible for setting up groups in Falkirk, Clackmannanshire, and Stirling. Together, the three groups collaborated on a newsletter, published as the CRWA Newsletter, starting in 1979.

Culdion Housing Association was established by Scottish Women's Aid in 1979 to provide housing for women who had been the victims of domestic abuse. The aim was to offer accommodation which gave more independence and privacy than Women's Aid refuges, but still offered the support and security of communal living.

Clackmannanshire Women's Aid

Clackmannanshire Women's Aid was established in 1976 and employed 8 workers within Central Women's Aid in 1977. They opened a refuge with space for four families in 1977, and began operating a 24-hour telephone helpline in January 1980. Along with Falkirk and Grangemouth Women's Aid and Stirling Women's Aid, the group wrote newsletters under Central Region Women's Aid, beginning in 1979.

Clydebank Women's Aid

Clydebank Women's Aid was founded in 1981 out of a group of local women who had been involved in a Women's Health Day in Faifley. For the first two years, the group operated a phone line service to provide support for women experiencing domestic abuse. In 1983, they secured funding which allowed them to open their first refuge.

Drumchapel Women's Aid

A group of women, concerned about the high number of reported cases of domestic violence in the Drumchapel region, formed a women's group, which led to the formation of Drumchapel Women's Aid in 1982. Initially the group was volunteer led collective and had a shared space in a porta-cabin behind Drumchapel Nursery, before moving into an office in the Camus Centre in November 1983. The group was able to employ their first two part-time workers shortly after this, allowing them to expand the services they offered to women and children suffering from domestic abuse. In June 1988, the group's first refuge opened.

Dundee Women's Aid was formed from the disbanded Dundee Women's Liberation Group in 1974. Their first public meeting was held on October 17, 1984.
